About
Hey there, my name is Ryan Molina and I'm the current editor on BMORE HACKS.
I got my start in video editing when I was young by recording home movies on my family's camcorder and trying to splice footage together on it. I started getting involved in digital video editing after watching my friend take clips from the popular japanese anime series "Dragon Ball Z" and spliced them together to popular songs. Ever since then, I got involved in the fan music video community where we take clips of popular movies, shows, cartoons, etc, and make music videos out of them.
For the past several years, I've entered many fan music video contests and have won many awards for my work. I've also spoken on panels about video editing at various japanese animation conventions around the country and have also coordinated many multi-editor fan music video projects. I started using Adobe Premiere on the PC for my digital editing needs and have moved on to Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro on the mac.
After graduating college, I decided to go into professional editing after a friend of mine became a professional film editor in Austin from his fan music video work. I struggled for a while to look for work, but one day, I applied for a job I saw on craigslist and from there, I met Maxie D. Collier who hired me as the newest editor on BMORE HACKS which would become the first feature film that I edited. I learned alot in the process of editing the film and I hope to move on forward in my career as an editor.
I hope you all enjoy the film as much as Maxie and I enjoyed working on it.
